Bulldogs News · Katy Dunn– President’s Volunteer Service Award Winner


Katy Dunn, a 9th grader at Pike County High School, was honored for her exemplary volunteer service with a President’s Volunteer Service Award.  The award, which recognizes American of all ages who have volunteered significant amounts of their time to serve their communities and their country, was granted by the The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program.  The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, sponsored by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NAASP), recognizes middle level and high school students across America for volunteer service.


Katy’s project involved making over 50 blankets that were donated to the Department of Human Resources to provide an item of comfort to children currently in the foster care system.
