Abigail Brooks, an upcoming junior who wants to major in Aerospace Engineering, was one of five Stem/First in Flight students from Pike County Schools who spent the last 6 days at the National Flight Academy. During their time there the students learned to fly airplanes, worked air traffic control, and collaborated with their squadrons to complete missions. Their chiefs for the week had the opportunity to nominate participants who stood out among their peers. Abigail received several nominations and was named the AXP of the Week for the 19-02 class out of close to 100 participants.
Thank you to Becky Brooks for submitting information for publication.
