Position: Assistant Coach
Coach Justin Cope is in his first year here at Pike County High School and is teaching Health and Fitness Wellness. He is a graduate of Charles Henderson High School, and spent 8 years coaching at Charles Henderson High and Middle School. He coached Defensive Line from 2011-2012 and then Wide Receivers 2013-2016 on the varsity staff at Charles Henderson. Coach Cope served as wide receiver’s coach and help lead Charles Henderson to the state championship runner-up in 2013. He also was the 7th grade basketball coach from 2011-2015, before being named head coach of the basketball program at Charles Henderson Middle School in 2016. He also was an assistant coach on the varsity basketball staff. Form 2016-2017, he served as defensive line and later defensive coordinator for the Charles Henderson Middle School football program. Coach Cope graduated from Troy University with a degree in Sports & Fitness Management, and is currently working towards his Master’s degree in Education. Coach Cope is currently coaching football, basketball, and baseball here at Pike County High School.
