Coach Taylor Hayes is from Florence, AL where he graduated high school from Central High School in 2011. While in high school he lettered in Football and Baseball. After high school he continued his athletic career playing Baseball for The University of North Alabama from 2012-2016. In 2016 he was named to the All-Gulf South Conference Baseball Team and Rawlings All South Region Baseball voted by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. Coach Hayes began his coaching career at The University of North Alabama from 2012-2015, where he participated in the teams yearly fall league baseball event as the Head Coach of one of the fall league teams. In 2016 he began coaching football at Central High School working with the Running Backs and Linebackers. In 2017 he then moved to Ozark, AL and began his teaching at Ozark City Schools. While in Ozark, he assisted with the baseball team for 2 years and football team for one year. Coach Hayes is now in his first year here at Pike County. He is the Physical Education teacher at Pike County Elementary. Coach Hayes is the Head Baseball Coach and assistant for the football team.
