Pike County Bulldogs remain undefeated as they picked up the victory tonight over Sweet Water. Both teams came in to tonights game undefeated. Pike County kicked off to Sweet Water and were able to force them to punt the ball. Rayshawn Reynolds was able to find his way to the end zone for an 80 yard touchdown run with 9:08 to go in the first quarter. Sweet Water had to punt the ball again on their next possession. This time Darrick “Jr” Myhand was able to return the punt 75 yards for the touchdown with about 4:00 left in the first quarter. Hernando Wheeler was able to intercept the ball from Sweet Water with 1:54 to go in the quarter but Pike County would fumble the ball at the end of the first quarter. Sweet Water was able to capitalize on this turnover by scoring with 5:56 to go in the half closing the lead to to 12-7. Darrick “Jr” Myhand would score again for Pike County with 4:10 to go giving Pike County the 18-7 lead going in to halftime. Pike County would find the end zone one more time in the fourth quarter as Darrick “Jr” Myhand ran for the touchdown.
Pike County will host TR Miller in the First Round of the 3A playoffs next Friday night.
