The Bulldogs improved to 4-2 record tonight as they picked up the victory over the Childersburg Tigers. The Bulldogs defense held the tigers to a three and out to start the game. The Bulldogs started off on offense at about mid-field as they drove the ball down the field. ZaKevin Pennington ran the ball in from 3 yards out the PAT was no good giving the Bulldogs a 6-0 lead with 8:09 to go in the first quarter.
The Bulldogs hold the Tigers on a 4th and goal as the ball is hiked over the quarterback’s head. ZaKevin Pennington ran the ball for a 70 yard touchdown run with 10:58 to go in the half. The two point conversion was good as the Bulldogs increased the lead to 14-0. On the Tiger’s next possession there was miscommunication among the Tigers resulting in a fumble which was recovered by Tyrese Johnson. This would set-up a 43 yard touchdown run by ZaKevin Pennington with 10:39 left in the half. On the Tiger’s next possession the Bulldog defensive line brought pressure to the quarterback as Andquan Lowe intercepted the ball in a pick six. The PAT by Ian Foster was good giving the Bulldogs a 27-0 lead. The Bulldog defense would attack the quarterback for Childersburg getting a safety. This would give the Dawgs a 29-0 lead going in to halftime.
JhaNauris King would run the ball in from the four yard line with 5:20 to go in the 3rd quarter giving the Bulldogs a 35-0. The Bulldogs would score again with 9:15 to go in the game as ZaKevin Pennington ran a 35 yard touchdown. The two point conversion was good as Hornando Wheeler ran the ball in. The Tigers would find their way on the score board as they scored with 1:38 to go. The Bulldogs will be back at home next Friday night as they host Reeltown in the final Region game of the season.
